Easier for oncoming traffic to see the signal.

yes it should work on your 04 dodge, providing that it supports the 04 dodge. THAT i cannot clarify, but if it supports your 04 then it will work. They call them special features, that ONLY work with dodge.

The dealer has the technology to take them off because they have starscan. (they will only do it as they deem nessesary tho, because it is illegal here in canada to not have them on) OR if you know of someone else who has a starscan system they could do it too. That system as far as i know is VERY expensive.

ALright so the dealership agreed to use the starscan to disable my DRL's....(changing my truck from CAN. To US.

My truck is currently chipped (superchip cortex), do you think I should configure it back to stock before using the starscan?

Always return to stock before going in if you can. Glad to see you might have the DRLs worked out. That would help you a lot

I'm going to be doing the same soon. (they had no issue with disabling the lights - a USA dealer in Frago N.D. wanted over 100 dollars just for the DRL's. I'd like to avoid having my local dealership charge me for plugging it in though.

I'll be having an oil change, repair of the delay wiper cct, and I have a dragging brake caliper and every once-in-a-while my gauge check light periodically comes up when I start the engine 'cause the ol-pressure sender seems to mistakenly indicate no oil pressure. I'm guessing the Starscan should be free if I'm going to pay for these services.

Bent...the dealership that's disabling my DRLs is only charging me 45$ CAD which is about 50$ USD. They had no problem doing it for me...I told them why and that I would run a constant power to my fogs and turn signals. They said my odometer would change to miles though.

But I wonder when I go to sell it..they will think it's kms lol. On the odometer on the dash it doesn't say miles or km...only on the digital roof mounted one.

Also...I don't think it should affect my chip. I'm uninstalling it before I go today...but when I re-install it...I hope I don't run into any problems.

I will let you guys know if it worked.
