I got the single 12" sealed box that I am gonna be dropping an Alpine Type:R into. What are your opinions for an amp to run it? im looking for the best sound I can get for no more than about 175$ shipped. I believe the speaker does 500w RMS.

yes, type r's are 500rms I got type r's in my fox box. I'm running a 2400 watt Lanzar amp. If you ever have an amp make sure you ask or see a subsonic filter adjustment on it.. You'll need it since its in a truck. Mine doesn't have one so it does want it wants.. but the alpine mrp-1000 amp is 1000 rms
