Does anyone know if the VHT wrinkle finish will work on plastic? Their website only lists metal so I'd assume no. Does anyone know if it will work? or if there is something else to use?
From what it says on the website "Bake at 200°F (93°C) for 20 minutes." I would think not. some coatings require heat to dry and come to full cure and this sounds like one of them.
Dan
depends I suppose. I used VHT header paint on my plastic taillight covers and they came out great. Worst case if it doesnt work, sand it off and redo it.

Will research the krylon and sanding it off if it doesn't stay is also a possibility
I have used the VHT Wrinkle finish on my intake and there is nothing like it imo. The only question in your case is if the pvc will hold up in the oven at the required temp. Try a old piece and see, if it does then your in business!

So it should adhere to the PVC? (I'm thinking I will sand it with a high-grit sandpaper first?)
Maybe I will test the PVC in the 200 degree oven with a piece inside of an old cake pan so it won't melt all over the inside of the oven if it doesn't hold up.
