nim - that looks nice and clean, i like that. thanks for the info. also the ones im looking at say that they will fit on a carb or TB of 5-1/8" wide. Is that a pretty standard measurement? or do ours require a different diameter.

ive got whats called a short ram intake in the garage it came off my 5.2l 99 and it will fit your 5.9 its aluminum and comes off your engine about 18" and its a ebay one that i payed 55.00 for shipped and i bought a k&n filter for it for 45 i got pics of it if your interested....make me a offer i really wanted to use the k&n but it wont fit my new intake so i also have a cheaper filter for it to go too....

you can get that holley kit at jegs i think, the blue holley prefilter doesnt come with it i made that myself, and at napa for like $20 you can get the tall 10" filter that looks 10x better...
here is a tall one on a 2nd gen ram (not mine)

just remember that the 12" and 14" round filters will not fit on the 3rd gen ram!
