Default Grill Removal

Tried the search but no results were specific enough. I removed all of the bolts/nuts and it appears the only thing still holding on the grill is the sealant along the top edge between the grill and the hood. Whats the best way to separate the grill from the hood?

Tried that, didn't want to break it. Maybe I'll try carefully sliding a razor blade in between in the morning. It could be that its 39 degrees right now, maybe once it gets the sun on it tomorrow and warms up it'll go easier. I got every single one of those plastic rivets out of the driver side grill insert before I noticed there was one hiding behind part of the grill shell!

yea I was a little nervous too when I had all the bolts off but the grill still wasnt budging. I just put a little muscle in it and it eventually "peeled" off. It's sealed on there good, Dodge didnt want those grill to come off lol. You planning on replacing the whole grill or are you replacing/repainting the inserts?

the grill was pretty annoying to remove for me. but i just took out all the rivets and gave it a good pound from the outside and it popped right out. don't be afraid to use a little power when all the rivets are out.

There shouldn't be any actual sealant used on there guys just a thin foam tape strip applied to grill side to avoid a gap between the grill and hood on install, a stubbyscrewdriver placed from undernealth between the two could assist if it's still stuck. To remove the Honeycomb Grill Inserts you will have to drill out the Plastidc Rivets (six ea I think). Show us a Pic when your done jroy.

Got the inserts in this morning, I just took a regular screw driver with rag wrapped around it and slid it along the top edge of the grill. Here's the pictures, I'm really happy with the new grill!
