ohhh thats not good........

you need to raise the truck from the frame and make sure the suspension is completly decompressed before you try to adjust the t-bars

From the frame? Like the rockers? Put a 4x4 on the pinchwheel and then lift it?

It has been done with the truck on the ground, but frankly, at 6'3" 280 lbs, I don't even have the gorilla arms to do it! I dunno how the guys who claim to have done it got it done.
But you need to get the weight of the front end off the tires to do it, then it can be done with just a long socket or a small breaker bar. A little PB Blaster in advance wouldn't hurt either.
Never done it to my truck as I have a suspension lift, but I've done it to a few others...

it can be done with the weight of the truck on the suspension, but you're gonna be lifting the entire weight of the truck if you do it that way. the easiest way is definitely put a jack under the frame of the truck and lift the front end up so the tires are dangling. put some jack stands under the frame so you dont kill yourself if it falls. use a breaker bar to turn the torsion bar bolt. remove stock key, insert aftermarket key, put bolt back in, remove jackstands, lower truck.

you dont really need new keys you can just crank the bolt up, same thing, much cheaper

Thanks guys, I already had keys in it.. But it was sitting crooked, so I had to lift the passenger side up like 4 turns.. Stripped the bolt, and had to put a new one in. Its always the little things that explode into something big. Lol
