I dont think the two are related. The PW tricks the PCM into thinking the air temp is lower which in turn adds some fuel but IDK that has anything to do with the shifts. Just my opinion though

Silly Q I know but have you removed the PW, reset the PCM and tried it from there?

Ditto, this should be the first step in trouble shooting if you think it might be a problem. The PW didn't appear to change anything trans related. But feel a little cleaner at part throttle. Just my opinion. Good luck..

well a open resistor would have caused a cel and a shorted resistor would have been all flow...with that said as i stated i put a new one in made it nice and perfect and everything seems nice and crisp again....no i havent taken it out and reset pcm but i wonder if when it leaned the fuel if it tweaked to gas at wot?....and maybe my first pw was bad or the resistor being shorted maybe....i guessi could pull out the dmm and test it...its just a weird coincidence... silver you may be on to something too....im n ot complaining by anymeans it seems perkier to me if i was to reset pcm would i need to set truck to stock with s/c then do so?....cause i just took out the old sloppy style p/w and replacxed with nice new one....

I don't remove my tune when I reboot. I just disconnect the ground from the battery, wait a few minutes and reconnect. I also usually recal the throttle when I do this.
