^It's the 13 county area of metro atlanta in Georgia. I live at the edge of that in gwinnett, but any county outside of that area can run no emissions.

I figured it was only a matter of time before that went into effect with Mr. Green in office, I mean Obama. Everything with him is green...lol Both money and renewable energy crap.

I've had a few cars with/without cats. I'd much prefer to have them on. The smell and the teary eyes are not on my fun list for sure. Aint much HP to be had ditching Domestic cats anyways. Not much in them to begin with.

I'd say put the cats back on and make a slip tube so you can slide on/off your cut-out for a piece of straight pipe when it comes time for inspection every year.

He's in one of the few counties in Ga where it's mandatory. Has a Cheby that had true duals, a pair of Cherry Bomb glasspacks and NO cats. Din't stay that way very long!!!

After the y pipe for the add on you'll be fine.
And as the quotes go... All motorised contraptions built after 2014 will have too pass strict federal guidelines. Thankfully anything built prior too that date will have the existing emissions laws already in effect. btw this includes motorcycle/lawnmower/scooter/ and yes even snowthrowers. everything that burns fuel period. The panty wearing treehuggers are winning btw imo!!!

edit: this just crossed my mind also, you could gut the cats if it's just a visual inspection and the state idiots would never know the difference till you fired it up lol
