i tried the resistor mod, and the sonnax was given to me all to help diagnose a pressure related issue i am having. i will give you all a more subjective opinion once my problem is all panned out. i can tell you though, that it did make a difference.

well, the 2.2k resistor made my shifts more firm/solid, and the sonnax made them quicker. you could make your own sonnax for $0.99 if you really wanted to. its just a 15ohm resistor. so for how cheap either mod is, you will feel a difference, whether or not you feel the benefit is worth the cost is up to you.

I like the Sonnax just because of the weather tight connections. Something very essential for our salty winters up here.
