Not buying the oil change for the hemi tick///It's way too pevolent in these threads. I'm only in here for a sec/ jJus really is straight forward ,make sure you clean the cover and housing really well, use carb cleaner or brake cleaner on the guts and wipe dry as best you can.. When refilling, you should use a little over two quarts, I "leaned" my axles when I was done, (I'm old school) You shouldn't have too . Leaned ; simply means raising one wheel higher than the opposite wheel fo any length of time. (It bathes the wheel bearing in fresh oil)
Thats all I got sorry for the long note, take care everyone, I also gave my h-d all new fluids today, 20w-50 for the juggs, 75w-140 for the primary and the same viscosity for the tranny, it was all synthetic this time : ) !!

do you have the lsd in your rear jay? If so then depending on what gear oil you buy, you will need to add in some anti slip additive. Mobil 1, RP, and Lucas Syn, and most other Synthetic Gear Lubes 75w-140 already have the anti slip additive added to the oil. If you go with conventional then you should pick up some of this or similar

Thats the stuff I use. The diff fluid change is really simple, just take your time like others said and thoroughly clean all the surfaces and dry it before you put it all back on. I use the black RTV as well.

Done deal... Changed oil easy as usual I was gonna do a diy but I didn't wanna get my camera dirty figured some newbs might need it but owell figure it out... The diff fluid change went well it took me a lil longer it had gobs of old rtv on it but now I know why Cause when you tighten it just oozes out....I did not paint it I didn't have time but it's pretty clean and very lil to prep it so, I'll get to it soon... And for the record guys I'm not sure if I have LSD and I also used valvoline syn blend oil for it...that's what my mech buddy brought me it was free so.... And the magnet had a lil gunk on it I don't think it was cleaned off the last time it was done but it was def done at 50k cause the oil was still pretty and clean but it's brand new now:...so I don't have to worry about it now....
