Hey-I used it to do my bumpers and a set of Westin steps.....it works great and is resistant to chips, etc.....not too shabby.
do you have any pics of your step bars? i think i want to do mine here in a few weeks.. i was just concerned about them chipping easily. what was your sanding process? did u use adhesion promoter?
I was reading this on the other forum as well and saw that you did that. I may have a new project coming up this weekend. How long did you let them dry for?
id let them dry for a few hours. i havent put them on yet, so technically they are still drying. but maybe 08ramman can clear that up
Anyone else have a thought on this stuff? I'm really considering doing my cepek rims with this stuff..anyone else got pics of it on something?
I just purchased two bottles of the flat black and will be applying it on my brake calipers and my clad wheels hopefully this weekend or next.... Its going to rain....
I bought these Westins from a guy for $40. They were chrome and rusty. I sanded them down pretty good and used two coats of Krylon primer. I then did three coats of Plasti-Dip. I never did have any chips on them.
Wow, look at those Goodyears when they had tread! LOL
Another good point about Plasti-Dip is that it cleans up real well with stuff like Armor-All or something similar because it is basically a rubbery compound.
