I had an electric air horn as a part of my full function siren in my '02. It was pretty loud and sounded deep too. Still haven't decided if I'm going to put all that stuff on this truck yet. Siren, Scanner, CB and Light Bar are all still sitting in the shed.

That's a nice system. Similar to what I had on my mega cab only I had a 3 gal tank. Find out what the pressure settings are on the switch. Some of the horns come with an on at 90 off at 120, but some mfgs will really screw you and send out the unit with an on at 60 off and 90 and that just doesn't produce good sound.

The viair compressor is great too, just make sure that where ever you put it, it is not covered because it gets REALLY hot. Even though I don't have the truck anymore, the system is still in it and used DAILY by my neighbor, who now owns it.. LOL!!!

I have installed 2 different units on the truck (first one was garbage), so I'll check back here if I remember to see if you need any questions answered.

I assume you're in a VFD? What kind of siren did you get? As for lights, I went discreet with a Raptor inside, 90 Watt strobes. If you like I can send you or post pic's somewhere of my install...as well as where I put the Whelen...works great.

Yeah I run with a volly house in New Jersey and another in New York. I'm also a firefighter in the USAF. I just bought a cheap combo from galls, and found a nice lightbar from Viper. Had strobes in the grille and a led in the dash too. Lit up like a x-mas tree. Not sure if I'm gonna do that to this truck. Had all that stuff on my '02 and rarely even used it.
