Default need opinions! engine swap or build current engine

hi guys so I currently have a dodge ram hemi 2wd. I have a t56 magnum swapped in there that can handl3 700-800hp. I would like to eventually achieve that kind of power but I'm not sure which route to take. There is the first route to rebuild my engine with new connecting rods, pistons, crank etc. And than throw on a supercharger or twin turbo running at roughly 16psi getting me to around the 700hp range. The cost of this would definitely run in the 8 grand+ range. This being said what if I just put a new engine there. A big block of some sort that can make 600 naturally aspired horsepower. There are plenty of bellhousings that can easily mate the engine to my transmission so that wouldn't be an issue. The only issue i see is making my electronic work. Anyway I welcome all opinions! thanks

that all sounds really nice but like it says roughly ten grand with I would guess roughly 500-550hp? (I may be wrong...feel free to correct me). For that kind of money I feel like I could be pushing closer to 700hp. Also with that package would they accept my 5.7 engine as a core? Is that what they are asking for?

what about this

392 or 407 HEMI Stroker Shortblock
$4995*

6.1 HEMI Block
Custom Ground Performance Camshaft
Callies Compstar Rotating Assembly
Crower or Manley Pro I Beam Rods
Custom CP Pistons
Gas Nitrided Steel Top Rings (1.2/1.2/3.0 ring width)
360 Degree Oiling
Main Cap/Saddle Radiusing

and this

That should put down some great numbers. I would think. Along with all the supporting mods. The best part is the turbo kit comes with the tuning needed to tame the motor then move to the turbo set up.

Pushing this much HP I would look at then going to

http://moesperformance.com/index.php...oducts_id=3254

That should do you nicely.

EDIT oh nvm, already have a good tranny.

I guess you could always build up the motor you got.

I would try to do a 392 if you are trying to save money for the turbo. There is a couple guys running 392 single turbo and putting good numbers, not 700 hp. I believe 562 (off the top of my head). So with the 407 twin turbo you could prob get to where you wanted with a nice shot of NOS on top of it all.

I wouldn't be stuck on the 700hp so much as a 550hp streetable engine. Don't want to paint yourself into a corner. A big motor that can be driven is a lot more fun than a really big motor that can't be driven.
