Your overhead MPG display is wrong. Assuming you at least corrected the injector size using the SCT (otherwise I see no way the truck would run at all), it's calculating mpg based on the stock injector's size. The display unit only knows injector pulsewidth, not size, so it's off by the same percentage as the difference in injectors.

response to truckin151 and for John M : it has no tuning other than injector size, i am trying to get this truck from one shop to another at this point to get one mod or another done so I don't won't waste money getting it tuned each time I have something drastically changed on it, I got worried that if I couldn't get the throttle thing fixed that I would have to stop this turbo project and revert to stock, truck is practically new, just hit 30,000 miles and I don't want to mess it up, I will get it tuned completely when the exhaust and intercooler are changed around which is all I have left to do.

Dangerous game man. Your engines designed to run a certain way stock. Ecm needs to know what your doing so it can properly adapt to the mods. Be careful, tuning is very important, especially for a drastic change like turbo and larger injectors. You could really mess your truck up, trying to save some extra time and money. TUNE IT!

It pulls real hard with very little lag or hesitation and will smoke the tires first through a half of second from a stop. But the throttle thing is a bit scary, once I go full throttle, it may or may not hang so I allow plenty of room in front of me when driving. Does anyone know what the fix is for the high map sensor voltage problem in boost? It's not running lean but it does run a little rich at idle, gas milage is great, the display reads 22.2 when I drive it smoothly for a while, the gas milage got better with the turbo than it was without it, the truck has been lightened up a bit and it is a short bed standard cab with a air net tailgate
I can't help you with the turbo problem. But would like to see some pictures of the install. Also, many of us are running eFans. This is the first time I have heard of a fan failure. Any idea of the cause? What temp do you have it set to come on?

I had a procomp 16" fan on it with an adjustable fan control/thermostat, the thermostat went out in the about a year from the time it was installed, and then the fan died last week which was a 1.5 yrs old, it internally burned up and melted the wires all the way up to the relay, crappy factory undersized wiring coming out of the fan, it blew the fuse about 30 seconds later, real bummer, had to drive it home that way, cutting the engine off at every stop light to keep from over heating. Those procomp fans are crappy, they vibrate real bad and the blades are out of balance, cheaply made BEWARE

Pick-a part electric fan from 3.8L ford taurus : 25 bucks
Quality fan controller off ebay : 100 bucks
Straps, bolts, wire shrink wrap, and wire connectors : 25 bucks
Time : 3-4 hours
Not having to worry about your truck ever overheating again... Priceless =P
