Default Lower Ball Joints??

So this weekend I will be busy getting my truck fixed. My first missions is to replace the lower ball joints. I looked at a DIY and also found a DIY for 2nd gen rams. My question is it similiar and how difficult will it be doing it? I am more than capable of doing the job and may have a buddy. I just want to make sure its straight forward.... I will be also renting all the equipment needed....

Shouldn't be too bad. Depending on how many miles you have, you may want to think about replacing the uppers while your at it. You are suppose to have an alignment done too so I'd kill 2 birds with one stone if you can swing the uppers at the same time, especially if you have any sort of leveling kit on your ride??

The truck has about 90,000 miles on it. I don't have a leveling kit, but I have lifetime alignments with Firestone. How can I tell if the uppers are bad or can those wait till this summer you think? Also no leveling kit....

Ball Joint check
Lifetime alignemts are the best deal ever, but the only problem waiting til summer is that summer is right around the corner and then you'll have to re-do EVERYTHING....

Did you already buy the parts? You may be able to buy parts online to save on the expense so you can afford to get the uppers at the same time??

Great link as usual Dirty Dog, I need to get mine checked out as I'm having basically all of those symptoms . Thankfully though, my new job will make it easy for me to replace them

What do you mean everything.... Do you mean like also replacing the lower ball joints also after replacing or meaning I will have to take apart everything, add the upper control arm and then get it re-aligned again.
