I was thinking of adding the amber roof mounted running lights. What is your opinion and if anyone has any pics please post.

i have a inferno red quad cab with black door spears. should i paint them inferno red, change to chrome, leave as is or take they off completely.

The truck will be in the shop for repair cause someone hit it so i do have the option of them painting them or removing them.

Why don't ya get the Recon one's like Froggy has? They look black until they light up and then their amber.

Im gonna get the ones that light up white/bluish, to match my headlights and all my other led's on the truck.

IMO just get rid of the spears, looks much cleaner w/o them.

Here's Hammer's rig. He has the amber roof lights and it looks pretty good. You could also buy the amber ones and paint them with VHT if the amber's are cheaper. Then you get the blacked out look until they come on.

Here's the night pic of the same truck:

Also in my opinion, take the spears off! Debadge the whole truck. Run 'er naked!!

Definitely get rid of the door spears, Recon is the only way to go for clearance lights, as for color it all depends on what else you got going on with the rest of your lights, smoked, clear or amber.

I was gonna post a pic, but I see someone beat me to it...LOL.

Go with the Recons, they are LEDs, will last much longer and use less power than the Mopar ones.
They are available in clear with chrome bases or smoke with black bases, the light color is amber.

DF members receive a discount. Just type in "dodgeforum" in the coupon box when you go to checkout if you buy direct from Recon...

For Recon lights for Rams: http://www.gorecon.com/products.php?p_cat=29

BTW, anybody notice they are now making winches? They are offering a 7 HP, 17,500 lb. rated brute that's just impressive as hell:

So they do have the white bulb ones, just not with a smoke lens, but that could be easily mended ;p
