Default $1000 for a 2" Body Lift??

Just called a dealer and had him quote me $1000 for a 2" body lift! Am I asking for the right thing here? All I want is a small body lift so my new tires could fit better.

As long as it comes with a complimentary bottle of astroglide, sounds like a good deal.

Stealer(ship) ? If so, mistake #1. http://performancelifts.com/cgi-bin/cart/index.html Or various other sites. Then maybe find a local shop to do it if you don't feel like hammering it out in the driveway.

Just out of curiosity, what would a reasonable price be for a lift kit + labor?

The 3" BL from Zone is like $340. Labor? Don't know that one, but it's not too bad to do yourself.

I would but I live in an apartment and you're not allowed to do any kind of maintenance on your vehicle here

Well I asked around and got a number to a guy who runs his own shop and installs leveling kits. He quoted me $299 for everything. So I'm just going to go with him.

Got his number from the guy who sold me my recent set of tires at Discount Tire Co.
