Thats my stuff dude I have no complaints it is the real deal and the additive is already in per the web site /not the bottle btw. I liked the price as well special;ly for a full synthetic name brand like valvoline.

Ram------relax, you don't need the additive

The 10-1/2 diffs with Limited slip for the 2500 are different than the "light corporate" 9-1/2's. The front diff is open---not LS.

I put Mobil1 in mine when I did it, no additives, no problems----thousands of miles ago.

Hope this puts your mind at ease!

I would imagine that's the stuff you'd get if you went and had the dealer do it. I know that the Valvoline has (or at least had) the Mopar contract for their full synthetic crankcase oil.
Would be my bet that Valvoline makes all their synthetic lubes.

And you'd be fine with it, you'd be hard pressed to find a full synthetic that does not have a friction modifier already in it.
I found with my Jeep, that I still had to add about half the recommended amount of friction modifier to keep my lockers 100% quiet even though the Royal Purple said it was already in there. So I question how much of it is in there anyway...

That's good stuff, but you'll wanna put in 75w-140 both front and back. The rear diff calls for 80w-90 for light duty and 75w-140 for heavy duty and towing. That's your category.
However, I hate to say it but you'll need more than 3qts.
The rear diff calls for 7.0pints which comes out to 3.5qts
The front diff calls for 8.5pints which is 4.25qts.
If you get 75w-140 to do both, you will need 8qts total.

I'd use Mobil 1 or Valvoline...whatever is on sale if at all.

If you get any chatter at all, you'l wanna add firction modifier, but it should have enough in already. I don't underastand why the manufacturer doesn't reccomend it for the newer 2500/3500 series trucks as they are identical to the old one's. Clutch packs need modifier. ALL of them.
