did my diff's ....cake
well got all the crap for the front and rear , did the rear first . One thing i like is with a 2500 no RVT , the gasket was reusable and was in great shape . Another plus is no C-clips and best part no shavings what so ever . I was supprised to find the oil was still golden !!! so with that said i didnt even bother to do the front lol. to my knowledge the diffs must have been serviced when i bought it , because of the great shape it was in . I have only put on 4-5 k on it since i bought it . was going to do the trans next but if its been serviced before i probably wont touch it . I bought her stock (except the 4:10's were installed from the factory) built her up to what you see know . she had 60k on her when i brought her home , so service must have been done . she was a one owner highway runner . I talked to the owner before i bought it , he traded for the same truck but with a CTD in her . He said he took real good care of the maint on her and always had the dealer do the service at every recomended time .
One thing im not sure about that he did was plugs because i just changed them last week and they were toast , but now thinking about it , if he had them donr at 30k and i was just over 60k they needed changed anyway .
all in all im happy , service records are all spotless and she has all new blood in her . 2 weeks and counting till the trip , so im going to see what mpg's all this maint gets me .
and for the record i will be posting pics of the truck while at camp ...hope one will be a pic of the white mega and a white ram !!! yes im hunting our logo ..lol after all that is my handle ..ramhunter
