Went to the dealer today too pick up my spare tire retracter tool/ (mine was not there when truck was delivered). Iwas kibittizing with the service manager there. About the ram in perticular, and too my surprise he mentions dodge has changed shock suppliers, And he cannot get the struts for the 06-08 trucks. Said he has 2000 back orders on file so far. When he mentioned no aftermarket available, thats' when I countered with the biltiens that I ordered.5100's with the adjustable level. He warned me that they wouldn't fit,cuz his were wrong that he ordered. His were monroe btw. I also asked what he charged for front end alignment 89.95$ is that too much?? His misordered shocks were 79 bucks btw. Mine were 95 cheapest I could find for bilstein 5100's. Sorry for the rant btw. Any thoughts??

1). He could be talkin out his ***. Afterall he already screwed up once. Who knows till you get those shocks installed you just ordered.

2). Bout the going rate but nothing outrageous. They can be anywhere between $50 to $120 depending on how much they think they can steal from you.

3). My thoughts are, how much was that retractor you bought? I lost mine.

CJ's tire and automotive in west chester PA charges 40 bucks for an alignment for any truck with a rear solid axle. 90 bucks for an alignment on a truck is outrageous. There is no need to get a 4 wheel alignment package for a truck, cuz toe, nor camber can be adjusted in the rear. Thats where most places get ya!

 

I got a lifetime alignment at firestone for 115. As long as I have that truck now they will align it for free, as many times as I want, as frequent as I want.
