A 3.5" hole saw will cut a circular piece of metal and measure 84MM which is about what you need.

I made one out of some SS from work and put the edges to a bench grinder to put a knife edge on both sides. I will get you some pics later today if I vget the chance.

it is to allow air past the blade faster due to less restrictions. In other words, aerodynamics

Good luck with that knife edge there weed, I ABSOLUTELY HATED mine with it on there. WAY to touchy of a throttle for me specially driving in rush hour traffic.

You would be 100% wrong here. There is most definitely a benifit with it being tapered, you get a venturi effect which sucks in more air and makes the throttle responce much better and gives the truck some much needed pep. Unless you are going with a nice cam/heads a full bore ported TB is going to be useless on a stock motor.

Truckin, I know you didnt like yours but I thought I would like the more response. I havent put the new plate in yet as I left my TB out at the shop. :OH::

But I will let you know. if not then I can always cut another. A tip from anyone trying to cut one from SS, keep the blade water cooled. I literally had to pour water slowly on my hole saw as I was cutting to keep it cool and cutting.

Hmm......IDK. Either 1/8 or 3/16 I guess. I would have to measure it with the calipers. I cut out the front of the shaft of my TB shaft also.
