i am looking to add a brake controller to my truck, i have located the plug under the dash but i don't have the factory 7 way plug on the back, i bought a hopkins 7 way adapter that plugs into the 4 flat and you have to run the other 3 wires to the truck. Does anyone know were these wires dead end at from the plug under the dash and what color they may be, looking to save a few bucks if i can run them myself, i asked the dealership and they said they didn't know

hear ya go , i had left the instructions in my truck on this .
ground circuit is dark green with black trace
vehicle brake sense input (brake lights) is light blue with white trace
trailer brake feed -light blue
12volt (30 amp max) battery feed white wire red trace

thats what i got in my oem harnes kit , that is the hook ups

 

thanks would you happen to know if they are pre-ran to the back of the truck or do i have to run them all the way to the front

 

mine here pre ran . so yours may be to . aslong as you have the tow package they should be .
