Throttle Body HELP!

Default Throttle Body HELP!

I am changing my plenum Gasket today and i cant seem to remove the cables off the TB. I have it un bolted but the cables are connected. How do i remove them?

The cable ends just snap onto the shaft. just give them a good tug in the opposite direction than they pull.

Ah got it, Now just tryin to get the fuel line off and fuel rails any help on that ?

Your best bet is to just leave the fuel rails on the intake. It can be a PITA to reinstall all 4 injectors on each side at the same time. Then you run the chance of them leaking after too. You need a special tool to undo the coupling on the fuel line. It clamps around the line and slides down to open the retainers inside the coupling. Most auto parts stores will carry one.

ok ill leave the rails on. i have the tool i just cant get the coupling to release

Try pushing the 2 sides of the coupling together at the same time you are pushing in on the tool, you may feel a slight "click" or "pop", then pull the hose end away from the intake. Sometimes twisting it back and fourth can help too.

Did you release the pressure in the fuel line first?
