we actually had to go borrow a 18mm wrench and socket from his cousin!!!! lol in all the tools we had between the two of us we didnt have either one of those!!!! lol other than that we had all the proper tools. what took the most time was trying to get the first shock out. we finally had to put a pipe wrench in between the coils of the spring and grab the shaft of the shock and then put a four foot cheater bar on the wrench!!! that crap suuuuuuccckkkeeeedddd!!!!!!! lol

matt - the top of the shaft is a hex shape and a 10mm socket is supposed to fit it but mine was so rusted that it just rounded off. thats why we had to use the pipe wrench.

Yea mine were new and the same way, just rounded off...a 9mm almost fit and it still rounded off, but a 8mm was too small

Like I said, I had to cut mine off
