Actually if you check the specs from the companies the poly blades are heavier than the steel, they have more horizontal and laterial bracing. The benefits are a slicker mold board that helps the snow curl and slide off the plow with less resistance and they dont rust. I bought mine last winter, it is a Western 7'6" PolyPro and I like so far. I dont do any commercial plowing, just my drive and some family.

There all hiding in valley forge national park there is a 5ft browse line from them in there.

the only plow that i've messed with at work was a Boss, worked pretty good. mostly we just use bobcats with buckets or big blower attachments. we have private contractors who are suppose to keep the runways clear but we git big drifts infront of our hangers.
