Question Removing bucket seats.

Was thumbing through the Haynes Repair Manual about removing the bucket seats. It stated a warning from he manufacture "that whenever the seat fasteners are removed, they must be replaced with new ones of the same part number" Really??? I don't wanna have to get new seat fasteners. I am wanting to take the drivers side out so I can get better access of sending wires from the new car stereo I bought, and send it under the floor. So you think I really need to get new fasteners?

i have no idea what there talking about. unless the 04's are 100x different than the 06+. i had my entire interior gutted this week. and nothing needed to be replaced. i have the bucket seats with center console too. just make sure you unplug your wiring harness if you have any before you got to yank it out of the truck.

i have never heard of anyone replacing the fasteners after taking the seats out. you should be fine. if you get in a wreck, and your seat flys through the windshield, just dont tell your insurance about the fasteners.

i ordered a haynes book the other day and was looking through it and found almost NOTHING that will benefit my 06. except for the stuff about the Hemi internals its pretty useless to me. it didnt even have the wiring diagrams i needed.
