mines out the back like rockets, granted if u get tips get stainless, my next tips are stainless from magnaflow, so i dont have to worry about all that bs, esp. in WV where there is nuthing but rocks and coal all over the roads it eats everything to pieces
I've had it both ways on past trucks...Ditto on what the guys say about dumping waaaay towards the back. Had a set dumped at the start of the bed and the drone was unbearable. Tips out the back aren't bad but don't sound as good IMO. Whatever you do, if you dump, dump as far back as you can and if you put on tips, I like the sides better...just an opinion though...
seems to me ther is that third option of tips dumped to the side. i think the op was asking for straight outs or true dumps pointed down and hidden from veiw. I reaaly don't like that Idea cuz of the possible co1 buildup. just another 2 cts btw.

There is no build up on mine....
When you dump it, if you angle it slightly towards the back, so not straight down, you get no build up, no drone, a great sound that is not muffled and a nice clean look. best of both worlds
don't want to hijack this thread but I got no response in the 2nd gen dak when I brought this up maybe a yr ago but what woukd you guys think of side pipes on a dakota rt ?
