ok! so all i got so far is just a Custom Cold air intake lol. and about to get an exhaust. what other things can i do to get some extra ponys(HP) with out going big(supercharger/urbo etc) in other words, how can i max out my stock 5.9 with out having to rebuild it, turbo charge it etc... a list would be nice

ditto on superchips. then you can look at getting headers, y pipe, e-fan, gears, torque converter, ported throttle body, cam, heads, etc...

 

How does an E-Fan help? same with ported throttle body?

 

a clutch fan is driving off the turning of your engine, if you take that off, its one less thing the engine has to spin/power. so it frees up a couple ponys. a ported throttle body lets more air into the engine.

 

Normally the stock fan runs off the engines power through the drive belt. With an E-fan, like the one I have off the 3.8L For Taurus ($25-30 dollars and 20mins at local pic-a-part), the fan is run off an electric motor, juiced by the battery, and controlled by an aftermakert fan controller (around $100). This results in less drag, so to speak, on the motor, and frees up some extra ponies... and hey, you might see a little mpg increase too. DO IT, DO IT!

you are gonna want to start doing other mods before you jump into heads. if you just throw a set on, without any of the supporting mods, you will most likely be disappointed. start out with the intake, exhaust, tuner, y pipe, headers and ported TB and e-fan. then you should start worrying about heads and cam. any time is a great time for gears though! gears will really make you say WOW.

edit: also, since you have the 5.9, there is an intake manifold called the air gap or something like that. supposed to be a really good mod for that motor. but a superchip will find you around 50hp or so for that 5.9
