Personally man, IMO.... I dont like it.

Some things to think about:

From an aerodynamics perspective the raised vents and scoop location are not good, you need/want smooth flowing lines not rigid or high angled lines.

From a water perspective, the scoop location is going to fill your engine bay the first time it rains unless you do some serious water routing and channeling in it.

From a performance perspective the scoop location does not look like it will have the ram air affect like the venom hood has the potential for.

So PERSONALLY, I would look into tweaking your design a bit more.

I have no body work or fiberglass experience what so ever. I just bought some styrofoam to build a mould and then i am going to fiberglass over that. As for the hood i don plan on making it functional. Its just going to be for looks unless some one could guide me on what to do

hell have at it. it will be one of a kind when you are done. i had my hood painted by a local and it was 300.00 and it came out awesome. macco should be in the 3-400 range but a little iffy on quality sometimes. i have had good and bad results from them

I dont wanna sound like a debbie-downer or anything, but I also thing you should be warned. This isnt gonna work. You have zero experience doing this, and a hood is NOT the place to learn. You're gonna end up wasting a bunch of precious mod money, and even if you do get something to resemble a hood, its gonnna look terrible and not last very long at all. In the end, we're all gonna be saying "I told you so..."

but good luck if you decide to shake off the warnings. I wish you success, although it isnt very likely

i agree with af, what if your homemade hood breaks while driving and takes out another car, i wouldn't do it.

i am not making a whole hood..
i have a hood i bought for 25$ in my garage.
all i am going to do is fiberglass a scoop and then bondo it down. use some metal rivets every 4" down on the lip to keep it in place.. then grind off the heads.
