Default Transfer case

I'm in need of a new transfer case for my '06 1500 which cracked in half and dropped to the highway at 60mph when the chrysler 9.25 LSD exploded flailing the driveshaft and breaking the TC.

My question is: Mine is a model 243 D and I found a used model 243 C, does anyone know what if any difference there is?

Thanks,

Yep, the diff started the whole disaster. After the diff locked for a second before the u-joint broke droping one end of the driveline which must have flailed around making a few dents. I can only guess the extreme vibrations cracked the transfer case and everything ended up spread all over the highway, oil everywhere. I was going downhill at 60mph. The driveline is severely bent, also not reusable. I'm only theorizing the chain of events but the wheel lock was the first indication. The ring gear is mostly stripped of teeth which were jammed under it blowing a whole in the bottom of the pumpkin.
The truck had 71K and was a mix of highway and mild offroad, rarely city.
