Default Noise coming from front wheel area

I have a noise coming from the driver side wheel area. When Im stopped I turn the wheel to the left and hear a noise like something is tightening up. It doesnt do it when I turn it right. I know I have a bad ball joint in that area but could it be something else?

You need to lift the front tire off the ground and pull the tire left and right and up and down. Also, get someone else to turn the steering wheel back and forth while you are under the truck or by the wheel so you can see what it is doing and pinpoint wherfe the sound is coming from.

I would start by replacing the bad ball joint first and recheck for the noise.
