Default a/c problem

first time poster, hello all, got a 02 1500 sport, 4.7, a/c works fine when going down road, when stop, it blows warm air. picked up a ARTIC FREEZE refill kit w/ gauge, gauge says if in red it is a mechanical problem, so i didnt put any refridg in, did notic that low pres line is cold, and high pres line is freakn hot, it might be like this on purpose, dont know. both a/c relays in eng bay fuse panel are good, dont know where to look next, comp appears to be funtioning properly. any ideas?

Welcome to DF
You could be low on freon, and yes the suction line will be cold and the high pressure would be hot. Look at the accumulator with the suction/liquid line and see if it is icing up. If it is the liquid line has a filter inside, that maybe plugged. The filter takes the place of the H-valve the dodge used back some time ago.But i would start by servicing the A/C first.

Most guys that have this issue find it to be thier AC cooling fan next to the radiator. It is not working and blowing so it gets hot when you sit still but when you are moving you are forcing air through it and it gets cool. So go check your fan

glad you got it but keep an eye on the fuse and fan. It either blew because the fuse was weak or maybe the fan is going bad and pulling too many amps
