Default Black-out emblems....

Any suggestions on blacking out emblems? Like to hear from anyone who used the Plasti-dip....I mean, does it last? Seems as if it would peel off the chrome finish...

Just sand them good. I painted all my emblems black and haven't had any problems. Plasti-dip should hold up better.

Plasti-dip works pretty good. I haven't had any problems with mine. Just take them off truck clean them and then paint and use double sided 3m tape to re-apply.

yep, I do have a 3rd gen... just want to change it up a bit w/4th gen badges. Wanting to black-out the little bit of chrome I have to tie 2gthr w/ mirrors & door hndls. Also looking for some 4th gen take-off 20's to be powder-coated. Not the edgy stars... the thicker ones (not sure of the proper names). I think they will look better with the curves on the 3rd gens. I agree they look good naked, but I'm gonna go black-out on silver.
