I used a 2 foot by 3 inch, a 45 angle, a 90 angle and a 3 inch rubber clamp. all from the same aisle.

I cut the big end off the 45 and 90

Then I sanded all the markings and bumps off the 45 and 90. I then glued them together with pvc glue (same aisle). Then I scuffed it up and cleaned it for paint. I used metallic spray paint. The paint wasnt high temp and is still holding up.

Thats how I did mine but if you want it to go down farther someone els can chime in with how they did it.

Also in the filter dept. I got the spectre cone filter All I did was tell the counter help the make model and engine size. The filter had adjustable diameters from 2inch-4inch applications, also you'll need a breather filter i.d. 3/4 inch. mthat install on the vent tube too the oil fill tube. (your application may/is different I would imagine.) Your tb is 3inch o.d. get the same size dia. pvc tube .
Also a hack saw to cut the ends off the elbows As previously posted, almost everything is found in the same ailse. regardless if lowes or home depot.
post pics when done. good luck take your time, 30 min job if nyou have no troubles.
oh and the o2 sensor needs a hole with rvt to seal it in place. I used silicone caulking works fine btw.

We used a 3" boot at the tb. I believe a 4.5" piece of 3" pvc into that. Then a 90. Into the 90 I believe it was something like 14" (give or take)pvc into another 90. You can find the 90's and 45's without that large flange on the end. We used the 90 without the flange to put the 3 1/2" diam. K&N cone filter on. We just used the plasti-dip. No required sanding and I used 2 coats. It covered nicely and dried quickly. Then we got a shelf bracket that mounted on the bottom of the factory box to support it. Yes, down the same isle as the K&N they have "mini" filters that will go on your crankcase vent tube. This is a "Hammer homebrew CAI". All it cost me was gas, parts and a 12 pack. Here's a few pics that show the setup:

Here's the boot on the tb, then the small piece of pvc that goes from the boot to the 90.

My first 90

The middle pipe length as well as you can see on the left where we have the bracket coupled to the CAI. You will need to drill a hole in the back of this pipe for the air sensor. We had to lengthen the wires so it made it. Go to the hardware store or auto parts store and find a rubber grommet that fits the sensor. Drill a hole accordingly and we used more pvc glue around the grommet to hole it secure and air tight.

Here's where we put the sensor.

The last 90 as well as placement of the filters.

Hope that helped man. It's really not that bad. Although I did have a couple vets that gave me a hand.

I might add to Johnny's post that you just need to be a little creative as far as the bracket and the angling of the filter goes. If you use the stock air box as we did on his, we just used a simple 90* aluminum shelf bracket with a little foam tape to protect the paint job screwed into the stock box and angled the last 90* down to catch the air duct at the bottom of the box. If you don't plan on using the stock box, then just cut your cross piece a little longer so you can catch it from a bracket mounted to the side wall and angle your filter back out a bit.
This is one I made the same day for someone who had a broken fleabay CAI and therefore had no air box:

Also the small filter for the breather tube is optional, you can also just drill a hole in the tube slightly smaller than the soft rubber breather tube and insert it. A little PVC cement around the hole wouldn't hurt, but I don't think the tube would come out without it...
