Does anyone know what the degrees are on the water temp gauge?.For instance I know the bottom(far left) line is suppose to be 0.But what is the half way mark,And then the hot side mark?(far Right).I'm trying to see how accurate my gauge is compared to my SC's data logging.

 

The far left side is NOT 0*. I don't know what it is, but when I first start my truck on a 70* morning, it is sitting on the far left.

I would imagine top center is 180 degrees . I haven't had mine much farther right of center yet. I think the o is a

degree symbol imo.

Top right is not 180*. My tstat and efan keep my truck at 192 and it sits about like teach's gauge at the 1/4 mark. Heck, the stock tstat is 212 and even that sits left of center!

BTW, I don't have a little raised o on my keyboard, and I am sure as heck not going to take the time to figure out some geek code to type in for it. lol

Hmmmm.I'm assuming by teach's pic my gauge is wrong then.190 is almost half way on my gauge(the needle touches it).And according to my SC,211 is sometimes half way.And other times it about part of the needle width past half(211-217).I'm hoping it's the temp senser and not the gauge.Thanks for all the info it really helps.

Also,I did mean the far left was 0 degrees.I know it's not actually 0,But I wanted to use it kinda like a baseline to start.THANKS AGAIN!!!!

 

The problem is that gauge isn't actually a gauge. It's a glorified dummy light that shows cold, medium, sorta warm, and warm.
