Default Need some wisdom on exhaust tips

SO got the CB ex installed about a week ago, ( yes rocket and Southernbnb, i still need to post pics) and my tips are shot, no holes just worn out.... They are i think 4" by 18 inches long.... My question is, whats the major benefits to some of these exhaust tips as for sound and even performance is that is even possible. Wat size tips does everyone else run? Thanks dudes any info would be awesome

The first time I re-did my exhaust (in about June of '04, WOW! it's been that long?), I just bought a 36" x 3" piece of stainless and had them cut it in half at a 45* angle and then I welded each one on. Nothing fancy, but they've held up great so far. All I do is hit them with a little dab of Flitz a couple times a year...

I just changed my exhaust this week. I dumped the pipes just behind the bumper.
