Go on the Dodge website and shoot them an email with your vin and ask them for your build sheet. They'll email back your full build sheet for the truck. All options, etc. I'm pretty sure if you had MDS, you'd know it though. Most guys don't like it and use their programmer to turn it off.

Welcome to df btw.

2006 was the first year for MDS in the Ram. It came on most 1500s. To for sure go to a dealership and ask for a build sheet, they should charge you anything.

Many people disable it because they find it annoying, or have aftermarket exhaust and find it sounds like **** when the MDS kicks in.

All 5.7 hemi's came with mds in there build codes standard. Hoss sorry you don't 4.7 motor didn't come with it I doubt it was offered in the first place. But for the op there is no doubt that you have it , unless you hook up a mds light. (has that been put in the diy section btw)Or spice up your intake and exhaust ,you won't be able too tell when it enables itself. All o6's have it too answer that question btw /5.7 hemi's.
