This (or something close to it) should be put in the DIY section under "Resetting Factory Security System". If I hadn't just read this thread I'd never known how to reset it. You probably just saved a couple dozen people hundreds of $$.

 

You should call back the dealership and complain to them about them misleading you and trying to con you out of some money.
