Default Screwed Fan Clutch

Ok, soo something got up into my fan and screwed it up, the ends of all 5 blades are obviously dinged and bent up, it still works and spins but makes a horrible air swishing sound.. Also the fan clutch that attaches to the shaft off the motor has some play when I grab a blade shake it from forward/backwards (in relation to the truck). I never touched it before this incident so I dont know how tight they are supposed to be but Im thinkin that whatever contacted the fan and screwed it prob screwed my clutch as well?? If someone could gimme a hand and go wiggle their fan so I can know if theres supposed to be any play Id greatly appreciate it. I just started my pre appreticeship a couple weeks ago and would like to dump the least ammount of money possible, but with that being said if the clutch and the fan are both screwed then Ill just finally get around to upgrading to an E fan instead of buying stock new chit.. Thanks guys.

The e-fan is the way to go. Replacing the stock fan and clutch will probably cost half that much, anyway. Are you sure it isn't the water pump moving when you move the fan? If so, you have two problems.

Hate to mention this, but it sounds like it's time for a dealer trip, unless you know what damaged the parts.

Yah I'm going to head to the wreckers after school today and try to find a fan. It's deffinitely just the fan clutch moving not the water pump. I have no idea what got in there I spun the fan around for 10 mins trying to see if it contct anythingbut there's nothing close to it. I'll get you some pictures tonight weed and show you, I just need to get it fixed before my big camping trip may long cause I don't wanna get stuck up in the bush with no cell reception!! What would you reccommend for the controler for the fan? I was just thinking the one with the probe that goes through the rad ad you set what temp you want the fan to come on.

Variable speed controllers are quite a bit more expensive than the fixed speed units, but still under $100
