Default tail light circuit boards...

so as some of you know i been dealing with some taillight issues. first it was getting water in some how so i sealed it up with some permatex black silicone sealer and have had no problems since the odd part was the reverse light worked in water...lol...so since i got the water issue fixed a few months back i been blowing brake light bulbs which are in the middle of coarse and the water never reached that high again odd damn lamp out every other thing...so i went to order some new circuit boards and just replace them well they were out of stock on national back order for a few weeks and well i finally got them from rock auto great place fast shipping and i got 2 for 27 and change shipped...ordered sun sent mon had wed...awesome so tonight i changed the bad one ill hang on to the other new one until i need it(im sure i will if not well its brand new and ill sell when ever that time comes....so i decided to open up the old one ive been in school for electrical tech for a few months and i was curious this is what i found ...along with another melted bulb in the middle....

It is good that you got it fixed, but it looks like you missed a great excuse to get yourself some smoked LED tails.

When the time comes for some LED's, there is a site sponsor who sells nice ones that are pretty inexpensive.

Carpart4u.com. They used to have a coupon code that gave an extra discount for DF members. If you contact them they should be able to tell you what the code is. They are the ones I got mine from and they have been great. Plug and play with no issues in over a year.

Jay, mine leaked when I bought the truck, and my brake light bulb does not stay in. I stopped the leak, but now every so often I get the lamp out, take it apart take bulb out put it back in and it works fine. I will have to order me one to replace mine. That is pretty cheap! Good find man!!
