2005 HID Conversion Kits --- Harness Required???
Good afternoon Gentlemen...
I'm looking to add a HID Conversion kit to my 2005 Ram 1500...The salesmen has given me a price around $480 for the Headlights and Foglights.
But he is also saying there is a $200 harness that is extra, that is needed so the computer doesn't show "Head Light Out"
Is this true, and are these prices accurate???

Yes and no but if he is saying 480+ then RUN AWAY FAST!!!
You can buy kits for about 60 and depending on where you get them from, some will come with everything you need. All it takes to keep the Lamp Out light off are some resistors that cost about $20. Does that sound like $200 to you? Do some searching here on the board for HIDs and check out HIDextra.com

The prices are probably accurate...
(but by no means are they realistic).
buy the 60 dollar stuff, the 20 dollar resisters, and sell it to your contact for 350.... He'll think he's getting a deal...
