Default Magnaflow part number

I will be doing some exhaust on my truck here soon and looking for the correct part numbers

1. I will be using a magnaflow stainless y-pipe --need correct part number

2. After that, I'm just going to replace the stock muffler with a magnaflow. I am looking for some somewhat quiet rumble as my wife drives the truck a lot on the highway. Need something that quiets down on the highway and doesnt resonate a lot in the cab. What part number magnaflows do you guys suggest. Don't get me wrong, I'd like a decent rumble when I step on it from a stop.

I have kicked around the idea of a cutout, but seems raceland is backordered for a while.

PN: 10778 is the y pipe (dual 2.5" in single 3" out)

as far as a muffler... mild to one person is wild to the next. I would say first decide if you just want a muffler replacement, or if your going to go with duals, dumped, side exit etc... That could all impact the sound and your muffler of choice. I am sure whatever Magnaflow you pick you will not be disappointed.

I did forget to put how I was going to configure it. I will have a 3" SI/SO replaced in the factory location with no tailpip, just going to turn it down/dump it after the muffler.

#12589 is a 5x11x22in, 3'' si/so. Definately quiets down at cruizing speeds but sounds great at WOT. The only problem with this setup, and its no fault of the muffler, is that you will be able to hear the MDS go on and off. It doesn't necessarily sound bad, but it sounds different. Doesn't bother me really anymore but some people it does. Great idle tone also IMO. I would not be able to go down to the 18in, would be a little loud for the Mrs.

Magnaflow 18 here, Not too loud around the neighborhood and sounds great at WOT. Can hardly hear it on the HWY. Not 100% sure but i think its the same part number as listed in Teachs signature as that rings a bell. If you want Quieter then go with the 22 inch which I beleive is about the length of a stock muffler.

I've got the magnaflow 12588 and it is pretty quiet driving around under normal throttle but when you step on it there is a little more rumble. But it is by no means loud even under hard acceleration.
