When I put my 2.5 inch Hellbentsteel coil spacers on my old 98 dodge I didnt use spring compressors, I just jack it up, released all the pressure off of the front that I could then shoved them it, it was tight but they went in. I did this multiple times as well because I had painted my coil springs later.



That was all done with just standard tools in my garage.

I don't think $300 is out of line IF it includes the alignment and is a reputable shop. A local auto shop here just did mine within last few weeks. It consisted of a leveling kit, alignment and put on my new tires and wheels for $290.00.
