Beat a new Hemi Today
backpressure on the engine mixed with a lot of wind resistance. at lower speeds, the truck shifts into O/D when you're coasting. If its already in o/d, it has to stay in that gear, causing the felt backpressure/weight of the truck/wind resistance all slowing you down.
for the record, i know exactly how fast an r6 is. i had an 05 that i sold last year. put 9,000 miles on it and yes, you're right. there was nothing but other sportbikes with more cc's that could beat it. same goes for the 250's -- almost no street legal cars can beat them.
AF, im guessing the backpressure was it...I could definitely hear it in my exhaust letting me know it was something with the engine, not tranny...
I just thought the speed was odd though, who knows...about a month after I got my truck I topped it out at 99 or 100, I dont remember, so obviously its something ive done along the way

Would't an SC programmer set at 140 give you an open ticket to find out how fast your truck would do, personnally don't know, never took mine past 160 (KPH) and heard that at 120 MPH it is too scary (SC anyways). As for AF if you keep going with your moddin you may eventually pull a wheelie in 2wd mode then that would look cool off the line with a Bike beside you but realistically unless you strap a Jato (NOT) that will never happen with a heavy QC.
Moparam, the SC set at 140 technically would let you top the truck out....and mine at 115ish or w/e felt fine, other than stuff going by faster...no shuddering, shaking, or drifting. I was pretty surprised
I had my lightning at around 130 on the same road one day and it coulda kept going. The corvette at 100 feels like our trucks at 50 lol (other than it starting to wave over bumps)

I hear ya, had my 89 stang doin 240 KPH in 4th with new VR tires in a straight line and I swore if I had turned the wheel suddenly I wouda flipped as the rear end felt like it was lifting, also realized I forgot my 2 year old daughter was in the car with me (shes 20 now) and I never drove that fast since then.
cool I have an 03 50th anniversary...it was a gift obviously. But yea, a buddy in the corvette club has a z06 he has spent quite a lot of money on and he got me up to 180 in it....it did not feel so smooth
