Engine Oil Cleaning
ATF is ok to add to the fuel tank for a diesel engine but not for a gas powered engine. There is no positive outcome for adding ATF to the fuel tank of a gasoline engine that is EFI. ATF will have a direct negitive impact on the O2 sensor and the 3-way Cat.
ATF added to the engine oil is totally different than adding it to the gas tank!

it doesnt hurt a gas engine or o2 sensors
edit...
if you do it regularly so you dont get major carbon build up it will not hurt it... but if you haven high milege the larger chunks of carbon that the atf loosens up could hurt the o2 sensors...

Do you mean you get gas in the oil? Just moved back to Canada from the south and my truck besides being in a heated/cooled garage has never been in weather colder than about 45F.
MotorVac --- snip snip ----After the service you drain the oil from the engine and then the machine puts a 40 psi air presure through both sides of the oil passages to clear the lines and the oil passages that will hold the small amount of remaining oil. -----snip snip ----!
STOP! watch the wall clock step off six seconds. Thats a long time for that goat engine to scream at 650 RPMs with below minimum or no oil flowing on to surfaces that should have full flow at the 'get go'.
It doesn't take but a snap to toast an engine if it doesn't have enough of slicky stuff.

I haven't had to use it in the Hemi with only 54K miles, but I dumped a can of that stuff in my other cars and trucks to free up sticking lifters and it worked magic-ran like new. Better throttle response and my gas milage went way up. I put over 400K on my old truck using Sea Foam every 50K or so without any problems at all, truck ran smooth and quiet.
Change your oil and then substitute a can for a quart of oil and run it about 30 miles. Drain your new oil and watch how dark it is-shows how the Sea Foam is working. Great for injectors and TB too...
