Default need some opinions

I have been looking for a CAI system but not wanting to pay $300+..so waiting for a good deal to come along. I had an ad on craigslist and a guy with a double sided CAI said he's willing to trade me for my stock box..I'm worried about water and junk getting in there? are these any good?

A guy with a complete set K&N has one for $150.. It's off an '06, will that fit mine?

Which one is better? Free is good but is it junk? I included a pic of the double sided one.

Pretty sure there are a couple guys on here with the double intake. Maybe they will chime in. If it was me I would trade my old stocker for it no questions asked.

You can buy one off ebay or you can make your own. This one was just made by TOA5T and Mopar78 has one he made. You can buy the filters at your auto parts store.

Here's mine. You can make them for not too much to be honest. Mine has a K&N on it also.

There was just a diy put in the faq section for this so check there also.

Yeah, a lot of the dual setup is for looks. I think like hammer said, you can only get so much air in the tb. I think I'm pulling more than enough air through mine to fill it sufficiently. Thanks by the way.

Make one and store your stock stuff in case you need it when you go to trade or sell the truck. There is NO appreciable difference in CFM rate from the ones you buy for $300 and the ones you can make for $45-$65 (depending on filter used). Plus you get a huge sense of self pride when you make your own mods...
