And for the record, the only year that Dodge has this problem is 03 because it was a brand new engine that year. They realized the problem and fixed it for the other years. If you think you're gonna get a new model year truck without any problems you're dreamin. I think you'll find you have less problems with Dodge than Chevy by a country mile (this coming from a converted chevy guy)

All-in-all, You would be miles ahead to change them all, you'll already have at least one valve cover off, and all the springs, intake and exhaust, are wayyyyyyy cheaper than an internally grenaded engine------then its crate time, and HUGE down time.

These guys are just trying to give you a sincere "Heads Up" Weed can even help you out by letting you know the Right spring compressor to get up front so you don't have to find out the difficult way----do a search---you see!!!
