Default Wheel/Tire ?

Is it possible to fit 35x12.50 tires on the factory 17" rims?

I have the 5.9, would i notice any change in gas milage, or any lack of power on hills and such?

Thanks

Not just no, but hell no... You want a wheel to be 3-4" narrower than the tire, 4.5" AT THE MOST!

and yes, a wider tire, especially THAT wide will be a sure gas mileage robber...

the widest you could go on a stock 17" rim is 12.50" and with that you will need wheel spacers or it will not fit

and without at least a 3" body lift the 35's will have no room for movement what-so-ever!!!!!

my sig pic is 33x12.50s on stock painted 17's(and 1.5" wheel spacers) with only cranked torsion bars. i will be getting a 3" body lift cause i dont think they have enough room... i couldnt imagine 35's with only a level even though i know people on here have done it

with a body lift you dont need wheel spacers with a 35"x 12.5 on a dodge 17" rim... on a 2004 1500 4x4

wouldnt the tire come in contact with the spindle? i know with my 10.50 " wide tires i had before i could barely stick my pinkey finger between spindle and the sidewall of the tire...

but i didnt try to put the 12.50s w/o the spacers....

sorry that was a type-o... i meant 35x12.50. All I have is a T-Bar crank level, and i dont plan on getting a body lift. So 33's would be the better route to go?

I have 35X12.5 tires with a level, and add a leaf in the rear, it works, not a lot of flex available, but it works. I just put a 1 inch body lift on my truck to give me a touch more space until I get a 5 or 6 inch lift.
