Default K&N High Flow air filter

just picked up a K&N High Flow air filter for the truck and it really made a difference almost made a smoke show leaving the store lol didn't realize it would make that much of a difference,l guess my paper filter was really dirty, and i got it at cost for $69 CAN. Also made my gas milage go fron 15mpg/highway to almost 18mpg/highway, seemed like a steep jump but i like it. Heres some pics

when I was looking into getting my intake I thought about one of these. K&N's website did not say how many hp you would gain from one of these drop ins so I called them and the tech told me they only gave you about 2hp. If you remove your resonator you will prob gain some more but I dont know how much. Your stock filter must have been really dirty to notice that. I'm glad it worked out for you, its always good when a cheap mod makes a big difference.

I've bought K&N drop ins for a number of my past vehicles (present two included) & haven't really noticed a difference in hp, but I do like the idea of lifetime filters.
