Default 2007 5.7L loss of power at 4500RPM

Hello Fellow Ram Owners...

I have a 2007 dodge ram 5.7L Hemi that i love to death. Just on the way home, i went to pass someone who was doing 63MPH and of course i let the horses loose. turns out that when i did the RPM needle went to 4500 at 65MPH and the truck had a massive loss of power. I had backed off the throttle and let the truck idle down. the engine was unresponsive to the throttle and a red warning light was flashing under the RPM gauge. after pulling over to the side of the road, i shut the truck off and restarted it again. The truck acted normal and i attempeted it again, same issue.

thoughts? questions?

this is the first time this has done it. Current mods are only a cold air intake.

That red lightning bolt icon is your warning light for your electonic throttle control. Check, pull and clean your throttle body. If that doesn't work, I would put money on it, that it's your throttle positioning sensor (TPS).

UPDATE: I have successfully remedied the problem. i installed the stock air cleaner and filter. it seems to have repaired the issue.
